Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi 13C on 10th November 2023 in the global market. The phone has a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD having a screen resolution of 720x1600px. The design is quite appealing and the device is relatively lightweight, weighing 192g with a thickness of 8.1mm. The display now has a 90Hz refresh rate, which is a significant improvement over Redmi 12C.
Xiaomi Redmi 13C is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. It comes with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSDXC. However, the MediaTek Helio G85 is a low-profile chipset and may struggle while gaming for an extended period.
The device features a 50MP rear camera with a 2MP macro sensor and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. The phone also contains an 8MP selfie camera at the front.
Xiaomi Redmi 13C is equipped with a 5000mAh Li-Po battery. It now supports 18W fast charging, which is a significant improvement over the 10W of the Redmi 12C.
The device runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 and is expected to perform well in daily use without any software issues.
In conclusion, Xiaomi Redmi 13C offers a good balance of features for its price point. However, it may not be the best choice for heavy gamers due to its MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. However, it offers enough features in this price segment to attract consumers looking for a budget-friendly smartphone.
Other than 90Hz refresh rate, Type-C, and Fast Charging option, the phone is very much similar to Redmi 12C. Disappointed this time.
