Samsung Galaxy A54 is a mid-range 5G smartphone that offers a good balance of features and price. It has a modern aesthetic, a decent camera setup, and long-term software support. The display is a slightly smaller 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED, which peaks at 1,000 nits, 200 more than its predecessor, the A53. However, the battery life claims fall short of what’s promised, and more powerful phones can be had for the same price or less.
Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is a worthy update of the 2022 Galaxy A53 5G, using an updated Exynos 1380 CPU and a faster ARM Mali MP5 GPU. It offers a premium feel, good camera capabilities, and a capable display with punchy colors.
The design of the A54 is conventional, with gently rounded corners and a column of lenses protruding from the back. It uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back, which gives the phone a boost in design quality. However, the frame is made of plastic.
In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy A54 is a solid mid-range choice that ticks most boxes. It’s a good choice for those looking for a phone with a great display, premium build, a decent camera setup, and a large battery. However, slight performance niggles and inconsistent battery life stop it from being an instant recommendation for consumers looking for a top-tier phone.
