The Oppo A38 is a budget-friendly smartphone that packs some decent features. The phone offers a large 6.56-inch HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate for a responsive viewing experience. The hardware is based on the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which is outdated but still capable of handling everyday tasks and even some low-profile gaming.
The Oppo A38 packs a 50MP main camera, which is sufficient for its price range. It can take good-quality photos in bright light, with the depth sensor helping in portrait shots with a nice bokeh effect. However, the camera struggles in low-light performance and adds noise and grain to shots. Video recording is also limited to 1080p at 30fps, which is functional but not very demanding in the modern era.
Another plus point of the Oppo A38 is its long battery life. The phone holds a 5000mAh battery that should easily last a full day on a single charge in normal use. It also supports 33W fast charging that allows the phone to charge as quickly as 50% in 30 min (as advertised).
Overall, the Oppo A38 is a solid choice for budget-conscious customers who prioritize a big screen, long battery life, and a lightweight design. However, the limited resolution and an outdated processor can disappoint some users who prioritize performance and quality over battery and design.
